Granted by the Fritz and Hildegard
Berg Foundation within the Donors' Association for
the Promotion of Sciences and Humanities in Germany
at the Department of Medical Sociology, University
of Freiburg, Germany.

Since 1992 the Fritz and Hildegard Berg Foundation within
the Donors' Association for the Promotion and Humanities in
Germany provides the means for a special program "Public
Health". According to this mission, the "Donors'
Association" decided to establish an Coordinating Agency
for Cooperation and Evaluation in Public Health as well as
a sponsorship program. It is meant to be a liaison between
the universities, non-university research centers and science
organizations. Furthermore, it should stay in close contact
with the appropriate agencies on the state and the federal
level and it should improve the conditions for the development
of Public Health.
